系所簡史
The Graduate Institute of Musicology (henceforth GIM) at National Taiwan University was founded in 1996; it is one of the twelve teaching units in the College of Liberal Arts, offering degrees of Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Arts.

Founding Period
The Institute was established in the 85th academic year and is affiliated with the Faculty of Letters of Taiwan University. At the beginning of its establishment, the Institute had only two teachers, with Associate Professor Wang Yingfen as acting director, and the other teacher was Prof. Ricardo Canzio. There are a total of three offices and teacher research rooms, as well as a classroom and a student self-study room in the basement of the new building of the College of Liberal Arts. The teachers and students of our institute have a difficult time,
