Applicants can apply for the program through two different processes, which are the special admission and the general admission.

Application requirements
Application materials
- Degree certificate(If the graduation certificate is not in Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation is required.)
- Highest degree’s full transcript of records (including explanation of grading system) (If the transcript is not in Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation is required)
- Receipt of the application fee payment
- Declaration and Authorization Form
- Financial statement (A bank statement showing at least NT$200,000 in savings deposit.)
- Scholarship awardees shall provide proof of scholarship.
- Passport (if applicable)
- Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) (if applicable)
- Photograph(in color and less than 6 months old, showing a close-up shot of the head and shoulders, and without wearing a hat.)
Materials required by Institute
- Language proficiency certificate (please refer to the “Language proficiency”)
- Recommendation letter x 2
- Biography
- A research plan
- Documents demonstrating the applicant’s research capability.
All submitted materials may be either in Chinese or in English.
Interview / Oral exam
All applicants should be available for interviews through internet, phone or in person.
Registration date
At the beginning of September each year, the date is determined according to the school announcement.
There is no Second Semester Entry for Master’s Students.

- Statement of purpose & research plan in pursuit of the Ph.D. degree.
