Academic and Research Partners

Since our inception, through years of dedicated effort, international collaborations among our faculty members have grown substantially. In addition to our longstanding alliances with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Southampton, the Institute has expanded its connections with the University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of the Arts, and Seoul National University. As a result, a graduate student forum among leading institutions in the field of Asian musicology was launched at our university in 2016, and was subsequently hosted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018. Furthermore, European academic institutions, such as the University of Bonn in Germany and Aarhus University in Denmark, have also invited the Institute to join their projects.

Our faculty members each maintain distinct regional academic exchanges: Professor Shen Dong collaborates with multiple universities in China; Professor Wang Ying-fen works with universities and museums in Japan; Associate Professor Chen Jen-yen collaborates with universities in the United States and Europe; Associate Professor Yamauchi Fumitaka partners with universities in South Korea and Japan; and Associate Professor Yang Chien-chang collaborates with universities in Germany.
